36 Games Now support NVIDIA DLSS 3: AMD FSR 3 is Still up in the Air

Unlike many of NVIDIA’s previous innovations (Hairworks, TXAA, HFTS, etc.), DLSS is becoming hugely popular. DLSS 2 came out with Control two years back and is now featured across 300 titles. DLSS 3 (Frame Generation) was introduced with the RTX 40 series GPUs a few months back and is doing even better. Last I checked, 36 games support DLSS 3, most AAA titles from the last six months.

Cyberpunk’s Overdrive Mode is where DLSS 3 shines. Even with cutting-edge path tracing, the RTX 40 series GPUs deliver over 60 FPS at 4K Ultra, courtesy of the frame generation technology. Unlike contemporary upscalers, DLSS 3 also reduces CPU overhead by generating the entire frame without any assistance from the CPU.

On the other hand, AMD’s FSR 3 is yet to make an appearance, let alone compete with DLSS 3. FSR 2 was rolled well after DLSS 2 and lacks its propriety rival’s widespread support and superior quality. You can expect a similar trajectory with FSR 3.
