AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT was the #1 Bestseller in Nov (MF), Selling 2.3x More than the RTX 4070

AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D singlehandedly defeated Intel’s 13th and 14th Gen family through November. In the GPU segment, the Radeon RX 7800 XT did something similar on a smaller scale. It outsold its rivals at Mindfactory (Germany) throughout the month. It reached its climax during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, selling 2100 units, 2.4x more than NVIDIA’s most popular GPU.

NVIDIA RTX 4070 12GB

The GeForce RTX 4070 sold 890 units, followed by the RX 7900 XTX and the RX 6800 with 710 and 640 units, respectively. The RTX 4060 came fifth with 570, the RX 6700 XT sixth with 540, and the RTX 4080 seventh with 450 units. The RTX 4070 Ti and 4060 Ti managed the eighth and ninth spots with 370 units each. The Radeon RX 7700 XT and 7900 XT remained the black sheep of the RDNA 3 bunch, finishing with less than 200 units. Interestingly, the RTX 4090 was a no-show, with a mere 20 units sold.

The following week saw lower sales across the board, but the relative popularity of the graphics cards remained unchanged. The GeForce RTX 4070 fell in popularity, superseded by the Radeon RX 6750 XT, while the RTX 4060 Ti replaced the 4060 at the fifth spot. The remaining RTX 40 GPUs saw a further reduction in popularity as the Radeon RX 7900 series cards climbed higher.

Amazon’s bestsellers are more NVIDIA-centric, favoring the older Radeon RX 6000 GPUs but leaving the 7800 XT high and dry at #12. The GeForce RTX 4070 is ranked fourth, followed by the Intel Arc A750 and a mix of RTX 3060s and the RX 6600/6700 series cards.

Newegg has a similar bestsellers chart, except the Radeon RX 7800 XT comes in fifth at $519.99, with the RTX 4070 right behind at $559. The first four spots are dominated by previous-gen 60/600 series GPUs from both vendors, leaving the Radeon RX 7900 XTX with a precarious ninth spot. None of the other Ada cards make it to the top ten.

BestBuy sees the RTX 4070 take the second spot next to the RX 6700 XT, while the RX 7800 XT comes in fifth with a slightly lower price tag. There’s a glaring discrepancy between the prices of various AIB cards with deltas as wide as $100.
