AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XT has dropped to its lowest price since its launch. The XFX Speedster Merc 310 Radeon RX 7900 XTX is currently going for $849 on Amazon, down from its official MSRP of $899. The retailer states that this is its lowest price in the last 30 days, a nifty deal if you’re looking for a next-gen graphics card.
The Merc310 Radeon RX 7900 XT features 5,376 stream processors (cores/shaders) running at a base and a boost clock of 1,775 and 2,535MHz, respectively. The 20GB memory buffer is paired with a 320-bit bus for an external bandwidth of 800GB/s and an effective bandwidth of 2,900GB/s (considering the Infinity Cache).
Its direct rival, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, is going for $829. While it may fall short of the RX 7900 XT in purely rasterized workloads, it’s substantially faster in ray-traced games, especially when backed by DLSS 3.0. The RTX 4070 Ti comes with 12GB of GDDR6X memory running at 21Gbps and a 192-bit bus for an external bandwidth of 504GB/s. Remember that it also comes with an on-die cache of 48MB for a much higher effective on-die cache.
