AMD’s Ryzen 7000 CPUs have been discounted to new lows as part of the Amazon Prime Day sale. Of particular note are the Ryzen 9 7900X and the Ryzen 9 7900X3D. As a Prime Exclusive Deal, these 12-core CPUs are 35% and 23% cheaper, respectively. The Ryzen 9 7900X3D was released earlier this year at an MSRP of $599 but can now be had for as low as $459, a sizable $140 discount.
The Ryzen 9 7900X has been out for close to a year now. It was rolled out alongside the 7950X at an MSRP of $549. Amazon’s Prime Day sale decreases its market price to just $356, 35% less than before.
AMD’s previous-gen heavyweights are now going for what I can only describe as throwaway prices. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D was one of the last AM4 SKUs that retailed at $449 at launch. The latest round of discounts brings it down to $277, a lofty discount of nearly 40%.
The Ryzen 9 5900X is one of Amazon’s top-rated CPUs, scoring 4.8 out of 5 points. The Prime Exclusive Deal cuts its price to $274.91, less than half its sticker price of $569.99. You can build a capable PC using a B550 motherboard for less than $400.
