The PC system requirements for From Software’s next blockbuster are out. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon recommends the five-year-old GeForce RTX 2070 for ray-tracing. At a minimum, the RTX 2060 or the Radeon RX 6600 are needed if you’re on Team Red. On the CPU side, the Intel Core i7-4790K “Devil’s Canyon” or the 2nd Gen Ryzen 5 2600 are needed at the least. The Core i5-8400 or the Ryzen 7 1800X might also work.
For optimal performance, the Intel Core i7-7700 or the i5-10400 is recommended. The Ryzen 7 2700X and Ryzen 5 3600 are suggested among AMD’s offerings. You’ll need 12GB of memory and 60GB of storage space. Like most new titles, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will leverage the DirectX 12.0 API. The Radeon RX 6650 XT 8GB or the Intel Arc A770 16GB are also on the recommended list. Unfortunately, ray tracing won’t be enabled during gameplay, leaving it solely for garage showcases.
With ray tracing flicked off, the requirements drop to seven-year-old Pascal GPUs or the Polaris-based Radeon RX 590. The GTX 1060 6GB is recommended, while the GTX 1650/RX 480 form the baseline. The memory and storage requirements remain the same.
