The PC specifications of Deathloop are officially out in the open. Dealthloop will be the last PS5 exclusive from Bethesda as the company becomes a part of Xbox Studios. However, the game will also land on PC, with rather outlandish system requirements. It’s worth noting that the game will launch with AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution support, Ultrawide support, and FOV toggle.
The game won’t support ray-tracing, and that is what makes the CPU requirements outright non-sense. While you’ll be needing a Core i9-9700K or a Ryzen 7 2700X for 1080p 60 FPS High, cranking the setting to 4K Ultra means you’ll have to upgrade the CPU to a Core i9-10900K or a Ryzen 7 3800XT. I realize that the draw distance, object complexity, and therefore, the draw calls will increase at the ultra settings, but a 3080 is overkill for a game without RT.
On the GPU side, you’re looking at a GeForce RTX 2060 for 1080p High and the might RTX 3080 for 4K Ultra. On AMD’s side, Bethesda recommends a Radeon RX 5700 for 1080p and a Radeon RX 6800 XT for 4K. (https://www.classicsofttrim.com/) The storage requirements are rather mild, with a recommended disk space of 30GB, and of course, SSDs are the way to go.
What’s weird is that the recommended CPUs are much older than the recommended GPUs. This means that the game may struggle from poor CPU utilization, resulting in less than satisfactory performance. Either way, this is mere speculation at this point, and it’d be better to wait for the game to launch.
