The first Cinebench R20 benchmark of the Meteor Lake-base Core Ultra 7 155H has surfaced. This 14-core chip features 6 Redwood Cove “P” cores and 8 Crestmont “P” cores. The resultant Cinebench R20 score is 7,300, the equivalent of a Core i5-12600K, which is plenty impressive considering we’re looking at a 14-core mobility chip. The single-core performance isn’t available so we can’t judge the chip based on lightly threaded performance.
The multi-core score of 7,300 places the Core Ultra 7 155H close to the Ryzen 9 3900X and the 12th Gen Core i7-12700K. Remember that multi-threaded performance isn’t as crucial for mobility chips as single-core performance. As long as the Meteor Lake family can beat 13th Gen Raptor Lake offerings by double-digit figures, I’d say the Meteor Lake offerings are a worthy upgrade.
