Intel’s unreleased Arc A580 has been spotted in the Geekbench OpenCL database. With 24 Xe Cores or 1,536 shaders running at 2.4GHz, it features 8GB of GDDR6 memory paired with a 256-bit bus, producing an output bandwidth of 512GB/s. The A580 goes up against the RTX 3060 and the Radeon RX 7600, almost certainly at a lower MSRP in the coming months.
The Arc A580 registers 82,992 points in the GeekBench OpenCL benchmark, the same as AMD’s Radeon RX 7600. The RTX 3060 is 6.5% faster although it likely has higher ray-tracing performance and increased MSRP too. It’s worth noting that OpenCL performance doesn’t equal the gaming capabilities of a GPU and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Currently, the GeForce RTX 3060 is going for $259, down from its sticker price of $329. In comparison, the Radeon RX 7600 can be had for $269 while the Arc A239. Looking at these numbers, the A580 should cost around $150 to $175 when it releases later this month.
