Intel Arc GPUs’ Xe Super Sampling Tech is Now Supported by Over 50 Games Now

Intel’s XeSS technology is now supported by over 50 games, including hits like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Dying Light 2, Hitman 3, Forza Horizon 3, Hogwarts Legacy, etc. Xe Super Sampling works similarly to DLSS 2 and FSR 2 by leveraging an advanced neural network fed by low-resolution frame data. XeSS works on Intel Arc and most modern NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards. It achieves the latter by adopting a low-precision mode based on DP4a.

Implementing XeSS in games with DLSS 2, FSR 2, or temporal anti-aliasing is relatively easy as you require the same inputs (motion vectors, jitter offsets) with similar outputs with minor modifications. All major upcoming titles, including Starfield, Hellblade 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Assassins’ Creed Mirage, etc., should come with XeSS support.
