Intel will launch the 15th Gen Arrow and Lunar Lake processors later this year. Leveraging the 20A and 18A nodes, these products will propel the chipmaker to “undisputed process leadership” that has evaded it for nearly a decade. Arrow Lake will focus on the desktop market, while Lunar Lake will be limited to the mobility segment. It’s presumed that the latter will be in limited supply, with early units limited to OEMs in the Early Enabling Program (EEP).
Intel partners taking part in the EEP will launch their Lunar Lake laptops by the end of this year, leaving the vast majority for CES 2025. Lunar Lake is expected to deliver on fronts Meteor Lake failed to, often losing to older Ryzen processors.
Lunar Lake will feature upgraded core architectures and the most advanced process nodes. The CPU tile will be fabbed on the cutting-edge 18A process, while the tGPU tile will be fabbed on TSMC’s N3P node. The P-core will be upgraded to Lion Cove (previously Redwood Cove) and the E-core to Skymont (previously Crestmont). Intel claims that Lunar Lake offers thrice the AI performance of Meteor Lake and a much faster iGPU integrated into a highly efficient design.
