MSI Titan 18 HX Gaming Laptop with an i9-14900HX, RTX 4090, 4K 120Hz Display to Retail Over $5000

MSI has announced the launch of the world’s first 4K 120Hz gaming laptop. The Titan 18 HX features an 18,” Mini LED display with high-quality HDR and a wide color gamut. It boasts a peak brightness of 1000 nits, over twice as much as your usual LCD. It has a 2M:1 contrast ratio, backed by the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. The display on the Titan 18 HX covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, a notch higher than most enthusiast gaming laptops.

MSI hasn’t revealed the official performance specifications for the Titan 18 HX, but going by online listings, it’ll be an absolute beast. On the CPU side, we’re looking at a Core i9-14900HX, the fastest gaming CPU on paper that suffers from severe throttling and excessive power consumption. The GeForce RTX 4090 should run most games, but remember that the mobility SKU is the equivalent of the desktop-grade RTX 4070 Ti.

MSI plans to launch the Titan 18 HX at CES 2024 (in two weeks) for over $5,000.
