The year 2024 has been…interesting for PC gamers. First, we got the former Sony exclusives Horizon Forbidden West and Ghost of Tsushima, and now we’re all set for the sequel to God of War. Steam’s latest hardware survey places one GPU above the rest (in June). The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU had a killer month, increasing its market share by +0.74% to 3.58%. It is now the third most popular GPU on Steam after the RTX 3060 and GTX 1650.
The GeForce RTX 4060 desktop GPU gained a +0.20% market share to 3.02%, and so did the RTX 4070 Super, increasing its overall share to 0.77%. The AMD Radeon RX 6750 GRE 12 GB is a surprise inclusion, also gaining a +0.20% share which is also its overall market on the platform. Unfortunately, it’s the only Radeon GPU among the bestsellers/most adopted SKUs of June.
Steam’s ten most popular video cards now consist of x6 NVIDIA RTX 60-class GPUs, including the RTX 3060, RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 2060, RTX 3060 Laptop GPU, RTX 3070, RTX 4060, and the GTX 1060. None of the Radeon GPUs figure in this list, and the most popular products from Team Red seem to be iGPUs.
On the dGPU front, the Radeon RX 580 (launched in April 2017), is still the most popular AMD graphics card with a market share of 0.81%, and consistently declining. The Radeon RX 6600 is the second most popular Radeon GPU with a market share of 0.75% at the end of June.
