Word on the rumor mill is that NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will get a price cut in the coming weeks. As AMD releases its budget RDNA 3 graphics cards, AIBs will be anxious to adjust to the updated dynamics of the long-stagnant market. According to Moore’s Law is Dead, official MSRPs are expected to remain unchanged. However, channel partners and retailers will likely trim GeForce RTX 4060 Ti prices to make them more viable for the mainstream audience.
AMD will release the Radeon RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT on the 27th of August, undercutting the RTX 4060 Ti and 4070, which currently retail at $399 and $599, respectively. We expect the RX 7700 XT to cost between $349 and $399, while the 7800 XT will retail at around $549.
The MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB is already down to $389.99, a $10 discount off its sticker price of $399.99. It may drop to $349.99 if the RX 7700 XT outperforms its rival or is priced aggressively.
