NVIDIA RTX 4080 Gets $200 Discount: Down to $999 for the First Time

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4080 launched at an MSRP of $1,199 in November last year. Since then, the high-end Ada Lovelace GPU has fallen in price twice, dropping to $999 at the time of reporting. Newegg is selling the MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 4080 16GB for $1,099 with a $100 promo code cutting it down to $999. The graphics card has a triple fan design and is 3.5 slots wide with a TBP of 320W.

The MSI Ventus RTX 4080 has a boost clock of 2,535MHz with a one-click factory boost of 2,550MHz. The 16GB memory is clocked at 22.5Gbps with a 256-bit bus interface. A 16-pin power connector powers the card and requires at least a 750W power supply.

The MSI Ventus features three DP 1.2a and a single HDMI 2.1a port on the back. Each can deliver 8K 60 FPS or 4K 120 FPS video without lags. The GPU weighs 1,595 grams and can be back ordered for $999 off Newegg.

Its closest rival, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, has also been discounted by $100. The top-end RDNA 3 GPU is now going for approximately $900, $100 less than the RTX 4080 and $100 more than the RTX 4070 Ti.
