NVIDIA has launched the GeForce RTX 4080 Super, completing the Super lineup on a mild note. A marginal improvement over the vanilla 4080, it features the fully enabled AD103 GPU with 10240 cores (+5%) and slightly higher core and memory clocks. As expected, the end performance gains are minimal, often within the margin of error. The RTX 4080 Super is just a discounted 4080, retailing at $999, down from $1199 for the latter.
Fortunately, multiple AIB (and Founders Edition) variants of the RTX 4080 Super retailing at its $999 MSRP. Zotac’s Gaming GeForce RTX 4080 Super Trinity is one such example. Most of the other AIB models are already sold out, so potential buyers will have to remain patient.
AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XTX has already started its slow descent to $900 and under. The MSI Gaming Trio is the cheapest variant on Newegg with a going price of $929 (-$70), courtesy of the “BYJDN2822” discount code.
