AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Gets 65% Discount, Ryzen 7 5800X3D Drops Under $300 for the First Time

AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800X3D has gotten another fat price cut, dropping below $300 for the first time. The octa-core 3D V-Cache CPU was launched in the spring of 2022 at $449. Although hugely successful, the advent of the Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs has made the AM4 part less relevant to gamers and enthusiasts. Retailers are selling the Ryzen 5000 CPUs at unbeatable prices to keep sales steady. And it’s working. These processors still sell more than anything else on the market.

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D features eight Zen 3 cores alongside 32MB of L3 cache and another 64MB of 3D stacked LLC. Newegg has discounted the 5800X3D from $449 to just $325.99 with a $30 promo code bringing it down to $295.

The rest of the Ryzen 5000 parts are also going for throwaway prices. The Ryzen 7 5800X, which debuted at $449, can now be had for just $198, $100 less than the 7600X’s MSRP. Factoring in the promo code, that comes to just 44% of its sticker price.

The Ryzen 9 5900X has gotten similar price cuts. The 12-core CPU is currently priced at $315 on Neweggg. That’s $235 or 42% less than its debut price of $549. For reference, its successor, the Ryzen 9 7900X, is going for $428 even after a massive $100+ discount.
